Meet the 2025 Foster Pupcakes.

Tonka, Tinker, Tina and Tiny are four fluffballs that were left motherless at the innocent age of one week when a goat farmer avenged the death of a member of his herd. Senseless tragedies like these are far too common, but they are not could have been avoided by a community supported program to snip, chip, tag, contain, nurture, love and train every potcake that lives on the island. The coalition of volunteer-run non-profit organizations listed below are working toward that end, but until then, these babies need your help!

Once these adorable babycakes are weaned, they will be looking for foster families until they find their forever homes. These QR tags are part of the Potcake Island ID Program, making it possible for a lost dog to easily be reunited with those who may be worried about them. QR Medallions provide an avenue for a potential rescuer to find information one of our dogs quicker than a microchip scan, although both are needed because tags fall off. Our foster puppies also come with a water-proof Airtag pod, increasing the chances that a lost dog can be located quickly and returned with their loved ones in a timely manner. Fosters and forever families agree to follow the seven steps and participate in a supportive, teaching community. If you are interested in fostering one of these babies, contact us today!

If you can’t foster, please donate to the non-profit of your choice. Tell them it’s for the Potcake Island Project.
