Potcakes are very smart and trainable dogs. Our program is set up to not only give them room to run and grow, but to train our rescues into certified service or protection dogs. Our trainers work with you to match you with the potcake for your needs.
Animal Care and Training
Snip, chip, tag and contain is the mantra of animal rescue volunteers. While all are necessary, it’s still not enough to keep up with so many strays winding up in the too few shelters. We want animals and people who come into our sanctuary to receive the necessary medical care, training, socialization, food and shelter, for a sustainable future today.
What about the Feral Cats?
Dr. Bizzell, the local, part-time veterinarian on Spanish Wells, recently posted a dire request for help with the island’s cat problem. Volunteers have been doing what we can, but health risks continue to grow, and some of the cats have feline leukemia. It’s going to take a turn-key approach and volunteers willing to capture and contain the cats. Learn how you can be part of the solution here:
